My previous post was filled with Naruto and American Idol keywords in an attempt to capture stray clicks from users. I think I need to define my target users more clearly. I have a couple of thoughts:
But what the heck. Why am I bothering with Naruto and American Idol anyway? This is not the perfect target for my planned ads. Waaaa… Anyway, this is a nice exercise. Analyzing stuff is fun.

BitTorrent is a peer-to-peer file sharing (P2P) communications protocol. BitTorrent is a method of distributing large amounts of data widely without the original distributor incurring the entire costs of hardware, hosting, and bandwidth resources. Instead, when data is distributed using the BitTorrent protocol, each recipient supplies pieces of the data to newer recipients, reducing the cost and burden on any given individual source, providing redundancy against system problems, and reducing dependence on the original distributor.

This is a list of some open source BitTorrent Clients. All of these are free. You can use these programs for downloading your favorite American Idol movie clips and watch your favorite contestant sing their version of Shout to the Lord, Angels, and other songs that have been sung in American Idol.
BitTorent is also great for downloading cool movies and anime such as Bleach 167, 168, and 169. If you’re a fan of Naruto, BitTorrent is great as well. You need to have a torrent file though.
From GMANews.TV:
“A Philippine company which assembles personal computers (PCs) has introduced the first locally-branded netbook to address the country’s customer segment for low-cost PCs.Called eXplore, the product is Neo’s answer to the small, internet-centric, and solid state memory-based laptops made popular by Eee PC of Asus. The company said the Intel-powered Neo eXplore, based on the Intel classmate PC design, is targeted at young school children and high school students who wish to own a netbook PC for educational purposes.”
According to Engadget, Neo eXplore is Classmate PC that has been rebranded as such. In other news, one of the world’s biggest technology companies is clamoring to enter the growing market for pint-sized computers as well:
Hewlett-Packard Co., the No. 1 seller of personal computers worldwide, said Tuesday it’s throwing its weight behind a new class of miniaturized laptops, a fledgling market already populated with products from Intel Corp., the world’s largest semiconductor company, and Asustek Computers Inc., the world’s largest maker of computer motherboards.

Google has just launched a preview release of Google App Engine. It is a tool that “enables you to run your web applications on Google’s infrastructure.” This preview of Google App Engine is available for the first 10,000 developers who sign up.
Oh well, I’m just rehashing what was written on their blog. Other blogs have already covered this, so I don’t see the point of discussing Google App Engine any further. So, in the interest of generating search engine hits, I have to mention “SaaS” or Software as a service (SaaS) delivery model. Bwahahaha… See, I’m so honest. I have to mention “SaaS” and “Web 2.0″ so that I can seed this blog with relevant keywords. Hello? Googlebot? I just said “Saas” and “Web 2.0″ and “cloud computing”. And hear this, ye great Google: I’m hereby rattling off the words “virtualization” and “future” too.
I have a pure tech blog with no hidden agenda, but hopefully Geeky Thingy would have useful posts in the future. I don’t want this site to devolve into a spam site.
